With the entry into force of the new European Regulation 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases—which aims to progressively eliminate the use of fluorinated gases with climate impact, including sulphur hexafluoride, and to promote the use of natural and low-impact refrigerant gases—Imequadri has faced a new challenge: offering a product equivalent in performance but equipped with cutting-edge technology, compliant with the regulation and with a lower environmental impact.
Our R&D team enthusiastically embraced this challenge and, in just a few months, successfully achieved the goal, passing all tests and obtaining the necessary certifications for the commercialization of the new SF6-free MV switchgear, including the INAIL certification.
Minibloc Air, an evolution of our Minibloc-6, is the new switchgear dedicated to secondary MV distribution, insulated with an SF6-free gas mixture. With a rated voltage up to 24 kV, it allows the use of equipment, circuit breakers, IMS units, and disconnectors that operate with an SF6-free gas mixture, in compliance with the new Regulation and while ensuring environmental protection. It is also fully compatible with Minibloc-6 units, as it maintains the same dimensions. Minibloc Air also offers a wide range of functional units that can be equipped with various Imequadri devices:
- load break switch-disconnector insulated in dry air, with or without fuses:
- isolation disconnector paired with primary-brand circuit breakers, vacuum or air insulated, available in both fixed (bolt-on) and withdrawable (sliding contacts) versions;
- SINTER AIR multifunction device, which combines a vacuum breaker and an air-insulated disconnector.
