General profile
Reporting directly to the Marketing & Sales Manager and working in close collaboration with the sales and marketing team, the Sales Specialist will contribute to achieving the company’s sales targets through the promotion and sale of medium- and low-voltage electrical switchgear. The role involves managing an established customer portfolio in the North-West of Italy, as well as actively developing new business opportunities. Potential support for export customers may also be required. Strong cross-functional collaboration is essential, as the workplace also hosts the company’s manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop the existing customer portfolio and acquire new clients within the assigned territory;
Promote COL Group products and services, with a specific focus on MV/LV switchgear from the Imequadri Business Unit;
Conduct customer visits and manage contract negotiations;
Prepare sales forecasts, visit reports and update the CRM system;
Support the quotation department and prepare basic technical-commercial offers;
Coordinate and support multi-mandate sales agencies and/or engineering firms operating in the assigned area;
Monitor market trends and analyse competitors;
Participate in trade fairs and industry events;
Collaborate with internal departments and other COL Group Business Units;
Availability for short business trips abroad.
Required skills
Technical diploma or degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar);
Proven experience in technical sales within the sector (minimum 2–3 years);
Solid knowledge of MV/LV electrical switchgear;
Strong negotiation and sales skills;
Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build long-term relationships;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Good command of the English language;
Proficiency with standard IT tools (CRM systems, Microsoft Office).
