Reporting directly to the Marketing & Sales Manager and working in close collaboration with the sales and marketing team, the Sales Specialist will contribute to achieving the company’s sales targets through the promotion and sale of medium- and low-voltage electrical switchgear. The role involves managing an established customer portfolio in the North-West of Italy, as well as actively developing new business opportunities. Potential support for export customers may also be required. Strong cross-functional collaboration is essential, as the workplace also hosts the company’s manufacturing facility.

 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Proposal Manager, the Proposal Specialist will be responsible for cost estimation and for the technical and financial management of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) addressed to private customers, utilities, and public and private tenders. The role includes the preparation of proposals to be completed within agreed deadlines and in full compliance with customer requirements, ensuring the technical integrity of the offer and conformity with project specifications. Responsibilities

  • Analyse the technical, contractual and commercial/administrative conditions of assigned projects

Reporting to the Proposal Manager, the Proposal Specialist will be responsible for cost estimation and for the technical and financial management of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for public and private tenders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyse tender documentation and project baseline, identifying potential technical improvements or value engineering opportunities where necessary
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Perform technical bid evaluations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring proper alignment with project requirements
  • Use commercial price lists, as well as public and private price databases, for pricing activities
  • Prepare and price Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals
  • Liaise with the Procurement Department to identify suitable suppliers and subcontractors to be involved in tenders
  • Coordinate with the technical and commercial departments

 

Required skills

  • Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years) or within a switchgear manufacturing company
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Aptitude for using company management and ERP systems (e.g. Teamsystem, CPM)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English
  • Strong listening and communication skills in English

Reporting directly to the Marketing & Sales Manager and working in close collaboration with the sales and marketing team, the Sales Specialist will contribute to achieving the company’s sales targets through the promotion and sale of high-, medium- and low-voltage electriomechanical systems.
